Our 1-2-1 LAMDA coaching builds confidence, character work and acting technique alongside exam preparation. Each student learns at their own pace, with support tailored to how they learn.
We choose suitable pieces, recognise strengths and work on areas that need attention. You won't need to search for material yourself.
Open to HFTD members and new families. You don't need to attend another HFTD class to join.

LAMDA Acting Grades 6–8 carry UCAS points, with 30 points awarded for a Grade 8 Distinction.

We’ll help you choose material that suits you and meets each school’s requirements, then prepare you for every stage of the audition—from your performance to the interview—so you can walk in feeling confident and ready.
Meet Eva Tritschler.
One of HFTD's original Lead Teachers, Eva holds an MA in Acting from Rose Bruford College and a BA in Drama and Theatre Studies from the University of Kent.
With over ten years' experience supporting young people, including SEN pupils, she builds confidence and communication alongside acting technique. Her previous LAMDA students have all achieved a Merit or Distinction, and she has helped students secure drama scholarships and prepare for drama school auditions.
Eva's acting experience includes EastEnders, feature films and The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit in Concert. She guides each student from their first assessment through to exam preparation.

More time to develop technique, explore pieces and prepare for exam requirements.
Time for advanced work, generally Grade 6 and above, including Shakespeare and three-piece programmes.
Four stages, no rushing.
Fill in a short form about your child and pay the £20 assessment fee. You don't need to know which grade or lesson length they need.
A private 30-minute session with Eva to meet your child as a performer, agree the next grade and the right lesson length. Nobody starts again.
Bespoke pieces that meet the LAMDA requirements and show your child at their best, in their own regular online slot during term time.
Eva recommends entry when your child is properly prepared. Parents book directly with LAMDA, with clear guidance on what to expect.
Questions we get asked.
£30, £42 or £55 a week for 30, 45 or 60-minute lessons, paid half-termly in advance, plus a one-off £20 assessment. Eva recommends the lesson length after the assessment. Exam fees and official books are separate.
No. Students join at every stage, and the initial assessment sets the right starting point.
Absolutely. Nobody starts again. After the assessment, where Eva gets to know their training and agrees the plan, they continue towards their next grade.
Yes. It's a standard part of joining for everyone. It isn't a re-test; it lets Eva meet the performer and confirm the plan is right before lessons begin.
We currently specialise in the LAMDA Acting syllabus.
No. Eva selects and sources bespoke material for each student, included in tuition. If your child has a piece in mind, they can discuss it with her.
When they're ready. There's no set number of exams a year. Eva recommends entry once your child is properly prepared.
Parents book directly with LAMDA, with clear guidance from Eva on the process and what to expect on the day.
Online, on Mondays and Wednesdays between 4pm and 8pm, during HFTD term time. Occasional in-person sessions in West Wickham may be offered close to an exam.
No. LAMDA Club is open to current HFTD students and to families who are completely new to us.
