HFTD LAMDA Club: private 1-to-1 LAMDA Acting training

HFTD LAMDA Club is private 1-to-1 training for young performers who want to grow as actors while working towards recognised LAMDA Acting examinations.

We believe LAMDA preparation should be about more than passing an exam, so we put the performer first. Regular coaching builds confidence, character, interpretation and performance technique at each student's own pace, with the grade, material and lesson length decided individually by Eva.

In a group class, time is shared. In a private session, every minute is about one performer: Eva chooses material specifically for your child, works in detail on acting and performance technique, spots individual strengths and areas to develop, and builds a clear progression plan around how your child learns best.

Eva personally selects and sources performance pieces for every student, weighing their age, strengths, personality and experience alongside the requirements of their grade. You are never expected to hunt for pieces yourself, and if your child already has something they would love to explore, they are welcome to talk it through with her.

LAMDA Club is open to existing HFTD members and to families who are completely new to us. There is no need to attend another HFTD class to join.

Eva has been part of HFTD Academy since our very first year and is one of our original Lead Teachers. A professionally trained actor, she holds an MA in Acting from Rose Bruford College and a BA in Drama & Theatre Studies from the University of Kent.

She has more than ten years' experience working with children and young people across drama education, pastoral care and performance, including LAMDA preparation at D&B Academy and Drama Kids. She has taught students of every age and ability, including SEN pupils, always building confidence and communication alongside exam preparation. Every one of her previous LAMDA students has achieved a Merit or Distinction, and she has helped students win drama scholarships to secondary schools and prepare for drama school auditions.

Alongside her teaching, Eva continues to work as an actor and performer. Her television credits include BBC's EastEnders alongside recent feature film work; an experienced singer and stage performer, she recently toured with The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit – In Concert, and she is the founder of Written Off Theatre Company.

Eva personally oversees every student's journey, from the first assessment and grade recommendation to choosing their material, developing their performances and walking into the exam room ready.
